As they approached the "grandparenting" phase of life, our clients sought a home and property that would enhance their flair for life, while enabling them to be more involved with the family as it naturally expands
The South Face of the property offers a breathtaking view of the Waikato River Delta. Our client wanted to capture these views from their living room, deck & kitchen - where they enjoy hanging out. But as sun-loving Kiwi's with a smart approach to energy efficient & lighting design principles, they also wanted to make use of the expansive Northern aspects on the opposite side of the property.
We designed a long home with transverse sections to take in the views and the northern sun! We utilised lantern dormers, as an alternative to clerestriry windows, to bring additional interest to the roofline, while bringing in more light!
